HPE Aruba Introduces Integrated Cloud-Managed SD-WAN, LAN & Security Solution into Its Software-Defined Branch

LAS VEGAS – Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company, has designed a new Software-Defined Branch solution to help customers meet the needs of cloud, Internet of Things and mobile apps.

“Software-Defined Branch is a unified, software-defined architecture that spans the entire branch, ranging all the way from WiFi to SD-WAN,” said Lissa Hollinger, VP of product and solution marketing for Aruba, during a press conference at HPE Discover. “It’s cloud-managed by Aruba Central and also includes policy management and enforcement.”

The new product helps branch operators manage networking and security as they adopt multi-cloud architectures and oversee a growing number of mobile and IoT devices, executives said.

“The idea is to impose some sort of security discipline without increasing difficulty from a network perspective,” said Larry Lunetta, Aruba VP of security.
